# Ask the AI About Finances

> Use the CFO advisor to analyze budgets, margins, cash flow, change order exposure, and live ERP data from Acumatica.

The CFO advisor has live access to every financial record in the platform — and to your Acumatica accounting system. It analyzes through five lenses: margin protection, cash position, exposure, change order lifecycle, and billing and collections.

Every financial answer is grounded in live data. The CFO never estimates or guesses — it tells you what the data shows and flags what it cannot determine.

## Budget and Margin

"What's the current forecast and margin on Vermillion Rise?"
"Which projects are over budget right now?"
"Where did we lose margin on Project Aurora?"
"Show me the budget line items for Division 16 on Vermillion Rise."
"Compare our original estimate margin vs. current projected margin."

The CFO traces margin erosion to specific change orders, cost overruns, or budget modifications and explains how each affected the overall position.

## Cash Flow and Collections

"What does our cash position look like in the next 60 days?"
"Which owners owe us money and how long has it been outstanding?"
"Show me AR aging from Acumatica."
"Which subcontractors have pending pay apps?"

For cash flow questions, the CFO combines receivables from Alleato with live bank balances from Acumatica to give a complete picture.

## Change Order Exposure

The CFO tracks the full lifecycle: Change Event → Change Order to Owner → Commitment Adjustment to Sub. When any step is missing, it flags the gap as unrecovered cost or untracked exposure.

## Commitments and Vendor Spend

## ERP Data (Acumatica)

When you want data directly from the accounting system:

The Acumatica integration is live and real-time. When you ask about AP/AR, cash, or vendor spend, the CFO reads your actual accounting system data — not estimates.

## Cross-Referencing Alleato and Acumatica

Ask the CFO to compare both systems:

"Are there any bills in Acumatica that aren't reflected as direct costs in Alleato?"

This is useful for month-end reconciliation and verifying that both systems are in sync.
