# Specifications

> Browse spec sections, subscribe to revisions, and download spec files.

The Specifications tool organizes the project's specification sections, typically in CSI MasterFormat divisions. Each section can be downloaded, subscribed to for revision notifications, and archived when superseded.

## Open Specifications

1. Select the project.
2. Open **Specifications** from the sidebar.
3. Sections list with division, section number, title, and current revision.

## Browse Sections

* Filter by **Division** (01 General Requirements, 03 Concrete, 23 HVAC, etc.).
* Search by section number or keyword.
* Sort by upload date, division, or revision date.

## Download a Section

1. Open the section.
2. Select **Download** to save the current revision as PDF.

## Subscribe to a Section

Subscribing notifies you when a new revision is uploaded.

1. Open the section.
2. Select **Subscribe**.
3. Notifications appear in your inbox and on the project home page.

## Revisions

When a section is replaced:

* The previous revision moves to **Archived**.
* The new revision becomes current.
* All subscribers receive a notification.

## Archive

Archived sections remain accessible in the **Archive** view. Use this when the project moves through addenda, bulletins, or owner-issued revisions.
